Things to do in Lancaster Pa

If you dislike being couped up in the house during winter, then you’re in luck because Lancaster Pa offers plenty of things to do to help get rid of the winter blues. Outdoor ice skating and snow tubing are near Adamstown Inns & Cottages. And trust me, you’ll want to stay at a luxury bed and breakfast after those activities!

Clipper Stadium in downtown Lancaster has turned their field into an outdoor ice skating rink. As long as the temperature is below 50 degrees, you’ll be able to skate around the large ice rink from Thursdays-Sundays for the next month. At just $9 for both skating and rentals, you’ll enjoy a romantic evening activity with that special someone, or a laughter filled afternoon with the family. Oh and if you’re worried about falling, it’s actually easier than it looks!

If skating still doesn’t seem like your idea of fun, then try snowtubing in York County. Avalanche Xpress at Heritage Hills is a reasonably priced winter activity open from Friday to Monday. They even have a hot chocolate bar with an assortment of toppings, so even if you’re just taking the family, be sure to stop by Knickers Pub for a treat! Only 20 minutes away from one of the vacation cabin rentals, tubing is a great activity to keep the family busy, or even a group of friends.

Getting bundled up in the wintertime and enjoying the fresh air can be an exciting time! From past experience, having a jacuzzi tub waiting back at the bed breakfast inn, is the most rewarding part of an outdoor adventure! Even the opportunity to sit by the fire with a warm cup of tea is a refreshing way to end the day. The Amethyst Inn, a Lancaster Pennsylvania bed and breakfast, will pamper you after your winter activities.
