Like other jazz festivals, the Berks Jazz Festival 2011 has both paid shows and free community concerts. The U.S. Air Force Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble is performing two nights with special guests. They are even having the Berks High School All Star band open the stage.
Jazz festivals of 2011 has some big names that you’ll want to see. The Jazz Base kickoff on March 24 and the opening night concert with the Dave Brubeck Quartet are the two shows that will get this 2011 Jazz Fest off to a great start! The Berks All Star Jazz Jam will be March 31, and on Saturday April 2, the Rippingtons are stopping by on their 25th anniversary tour. Even Grammy award winner Steve Tyrell performs April 1. For the night owls, Friday April 1, check out late-nite funk with Euge Groove and the the Round Midnight Jam with Gerald Veasley.
