Mt. Gretna Art Walk

While there are many different styles of art, everyone has their personal preference of what makes them smile. Some people enjoy a simple watercolor, a wooden bowl, or antiques similar to the ones displayed at Adamstown Inns & Cottages, a luxury bed and breakfast. I always enjoy a nice photograph of nature, or a home that has an architectural flair. So it’s no surprise to hear that I enjoy the town of Mt. Gretna and their Annual Art Walk

Walking through the cottages and small houses of Mt. Gretna always reminds me of beach houses, or country homes. It’s difficult to describe the intricacies of Mt. Gretna, so I encourage you to visit and see for yourself!

While a stroll through the shaded community of Mt. Gretna is a treat, every August, they invite hundreds of artists to display their work during the Annual Art Walk. This year, August 20-21, artists of all types will be sharing their love of art. Whether you enjoy oils, pottery, glass, jewelery, photographs, wood, or watercolors, you’ll find pieces that speak to you.

In addition to the arts, there will be live music from jazz and pop artists, as well as strolling entertainers. There will be food available, or you can visit a nearby restaurant. I highly recommend the Jigger Shop for some ice cream!

After enjoying the art, return to the Amethyst Inn and relax on the porch while enjoying the Victorian architecture of the inn, or in your private jacuzzi. The luxurious stay at a Lancaster County bed and breakfast, paired with the Mt. Gretna art walk, will make you feel like you’re floating on clouds the entire weekend!
