Elizabeth Farms New Light Display

The Christmas Season is quickly approaching, so soon we’ll need to deck the halls and trim the tree! With all the stress from preparing for the holidays, a quick weekend getaway is always a great idea to relax and enjoy the beauty of the season. Adamstown Inns & Cottages is the perfect getaway location because of the warm hospitality and the local Christmas displays.

Just 25 minutes down the road, you’ll find yourself in a winter wonderland at Elizabeth Farms. This old-fashioned farm in Lititz, Pennsylvania offers horse drawn wagon rides through the pine fields, so you can chop down your own Christmas tree. After finding the right tree, visit the gift shop to warm up with some hot chocolate. You can also pick out a wreath, crafts, and greens to decorate your house. Be sure to get a glimpse of Santa in his workshop and get your picture taken with him! Don’t forget to stop by the Bloomingdale’s window display and the Strasburg Railroad train room.

The most exciting part of this Lancaster County farm exhibit is their Gift of Lights display. Starting November 18 through January 1, you can drive through approximately 1.2 miles of lights. For only $15 a vehicle you’ll quickly get in the holiday spirit and be inspired to create a winter wonderland at your home!

In addition to the Christmas displays, staying at the Amethyst Inn is a sweet treat of its own, with plush feather bedding, steam showers, and gourmet breakfasts. Surprise vacations also make wonderful gifts, so book your stay soon, or call and order your gift certificates!

Holidays are an exciting time, but can also be stressful. If your family is like mine than you understand how difficult it is to find a place to gather that will comfortably fit everyone. Not to mention the fact that each year someone else moves away, so there’s always someone trying to crash on the couch when they come home for the weekend. Does this sound familiar; is this a scenario you’d like to avoid this year? If so, then consider introducing the family to your favorite Lancaster County bed and breakfast. With an assortment of vacation homes and cottages, now in 3 different states, you’ll have plenty of options for a relaxing holiday this year.
There’s also an assortment of activities to keep you busy.
